Karamsad is honored across India as the ancestral home of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “Iron Man of India,” and his brother, the freedom fighter Vithalbhai Patel.
For the Patidar community, Karamsad is a living symbol of leadership, courage, and selfless service. The values Sardar embodied — unity, resolve, and placing community and country above self — are woven into the very identity of the village.
Its deep connection to the Patel family, memorials honoring Sardar’s legacy, and a proud, enduring tradition of civic leadership.
Karamsad brings to the Samaj a heritage of statesmanship and national pride — a reminder that from these six villages rose leaders who helped shape a nation.
